On this site you are being introduced to a seminary ministry for urban church leaders. The Urban Ministry Institute was designed in 1995 to provide biblically sound training to pastors, ministers, deacons, ushers, church mothers, Sunday School and Bible study teachers, worship leaders, and others in leadership roles in city churches.
Anyone serving in church leadership, who is a maturing believer in Christ, and who has his or her pastor’s endorsement, may become part of a TUMI course of study (Ministry Leadership or Pastoral Counseling).
TUMI is arguably the second largest seminary in the world, with over 2000 students studying each quarter, in over 200 cities in 13 countries worldwide and in more than 40 U.S. prisons. God has been prospering this ministry with a growing number of sites every month.
Our courses are affordable (at an average of $15 each), local, accessible to nearly every church leader regardless of educational background, and minority-culture sensitive.
